Milestones at novventos.
novventos began in early 2023 when Franz Humer — fresh off a successful exit from AGILOX — joined forces with his wife Monika and a circle of lifelong friends to pursue a bold vision in clean energy. From a garage lab near Ottnang, Austria, they built the first wind turbine prototypes and filed three patents by year-end. novventos Clean Energy GmbH was formally founded in November 2023, well-funded and backed by a trusted partner network.
Since then, we have grown rapidly: our technology is proven in the field, our product family covers stationary, mobile, and hybrid configurations, and in 2025 we took our first step toward global expansion with the establishment of novventos North America, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
March 2023 | First Drafts
After exiting AGILOX, Franz Humer and his wife Monika embarked on a new mission. Weeks after stepping back, entrepreneurship pulled him forward—the clean energy project that would become novventos was born.
July 2023 | Formation Lap
The vision caught fire. Lifelong friends Michael Penetsdorfer, Michael Brandlmayr, Bernhard Fellner, and Andreas Wieneroither joined the team, each bringing unique expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.
August 2023 | Garage Time
First prototypes were built in a garage-style lab near Ottnang, Austria—made possible by Christian Peneder. By year-end, three patents had been filed. That humble garage became our creative home until early 2024.
November 2023 | Foundation
novventos Clean Energy GmbH was officially founded at Dr. Johanna Fischer's office in Linz. Well-funded and backed by a trusted partner network, we were set to scale.
January 2024 | New Site — Regau
Growth demanded more space. Turbine production and wind-channel testing moved to new halls in Regau/Preising, with our office and development hub established in Neukirchen.
May 2024 | First on the Roof
We deployed our first commercial fixed-wing vertical-axis wind turbine on a customer's rooftop—commissioned in just a few hours. This first step exceeded our expectations.
October 2024 | Batch Zero
Performance data from the field shaped a new, streamlined turbine generation—available in stationary, mobile, and hybrid versions. Custom aluminium NACA airfoil extrusions were ordered, with the first 15 wings arriving by air freight.
Q1–Q2 2025 | Industrial Design & Pre-Series
With initial hybrid unit orders confirmed, all systems were finalised for market readiness. Our USP: proven performance combined with elegant, reliable design—launched in Q2 2025.
August 2025 | Milestone Achieved
Our next-generation prototype went live. A landmark moment for the entire novventos team—showcasing what dedication, expertise, and a shared commitment to clean energy can deliver.
