At novventos, every step we take is driven by innovation, passion, and a vision for a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. From humble beginnings to cutting-edge technology, here’s how our story unfolds.
After successfully founding and exiting AGILOX in January 2023, Franz Humer found himself at a crossroads. Although he initially planned to take six months off, entrepreneurship runs deep. Just weeks later, together with his wife Monika, he embarked on a new mission: the clean energy project that would become novventos.
The vision caught fire quickly. Lifelong friends Michael Penetsdorfer , Michael Brandlmayr, Bernhard Fellner, and Andreas Wieneroither joined the team immediately. Each brings unique expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication—qualities essential for the challenging road ahead.
Thanks to Christian Peneder, our first prototypes were crafted in a garage-style lab near Ottnang, Austria. This critical trial phase gave us the confidence to invest further time and resources. By year-end, we had filed three patents. That humble garage became our creative home until early 2024.
Happy birthday, novventos! With promising prototypes in hand and a clear path forward, we officially founded novventos Clean Energy GmbH at Dr. Johanna Fischer’s office in Linz. Well-funded and supported by a trusted partner network, we’re set for success.
Growth required more space. We moved our turbine production and wind-channel testing to new halls in Regau/Preising, Austria, while establishing our office and development hub in Neukirchen, where the company is registered.
We deployed our first commercial fixed-wing vertical-axis wind turbine on a customer’s rooftop. Commissioned in just a few hours, it has been running steadily. While the yaw drive and generator need refinement, and airflow guidance can improve, this first step exceeded our expectations.
2024-10, all earnings from the last couple of months have been analyzed, and the results led to a new version of the turbine, a very straight forward, high performing machine in a stationary, mobile and hybrid version. highlight was the investment in a customized mold for aluminum extrusion, to get exactly that naca airfoils that fit perfect to our concept. the first 15 wings came by aircraft, we expect 100 more at the end of October by sea freight.
With initial orders for hybrid units arriving, we’re finalizing all systems to meet market demands. The official launch is scheduled for Q2 2025. Our unique selling point: combining proven performance with elegant, thoughtful design to ensure reliability, stability, and operator satisfaction.
